Fine art of the rant.
I love to rant. I know that at times these rants are annoying, boring, poorly considered, obnoxious, and repetitive. But somehow they let me get to the essence of things real and imagined. I subject nearly everyone I meet to them in some small way. It is my way of reaching out a bit to make the experience I am having with a person more rich or memorable. I rant spiritually in a philosophical way, politically in a spiritual way, scientifically in a philosophical way..but always with a vague sense of reaching to some conclusion that seems in harmony with my world view or to expand the world view that I perceive to be that of my listener. I grew up liberal in a conservative world. I learned to talk around the edges of that world to reach the places that cause cracks in certainty. I am prone to sitting for an hour an ranting on a news item. I will rant on a scientific item with my colleagues on our blogs. I rant to my music friends. I rant about just about anything which interests me, which is just about anything that is positive and expansive. So to blog is to rant. I need somewhere to put all of my random rants. Perhaps I can get a few of my experiences down that happen on a daily basis. I hope you can forgive the ego that is no doubt lying about it's selflessness. In compassion is all things that truly make us feel our vulnerability and need for each other in this spinning race to...a rant.
